Watershed Ecosystems
This interdisciplinary research team is developing and testing a watershed ecosystem approach that assesses and manages critical linkages and interactions in a changing environment.
The team is addressing critical topics such as forest disturbance and cumulative hydrological effects, trade-offs and resilience, inclusion of Indigenous values in watershed governance, and climate change adaptation.
The Watershed Ecosystems team are active researchers and leading scholars in their respective fields (science, engineering, Indigenous knowledge and policy) and share interconnected expertise in forest hydrology, water quality, urban water management and risk assessment, aquatic biology, Indigenous values, watershed governance, and integrated modelling.
