Solar Energy for Net Zero

Harnessing, converting, and storing the sun’s abundant energy to combat climate change through sustainable energy technologies.

The increasing urgency for clean energy alternatives requires innovative, low-carbon technologies. The Solar Energy Cluster is collaborating to develop solutions and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by working to identify low-cost materials for high-volume manufacturing, advance devices for light-generated electricity and solar fuels, and examine power grid challenges for solar energy integration. The team’s interdisciplinary research combines technological expertise in materials, devices, and system development, including social and economic considerations for policy and solar energy adoption.
