Please note that on July 31, the Government of Canada announced that the Canada Impact+ Research Chairs program has been renamed the Eddie Goldenberg Research Chairs of Canada. Application deadlines for the Eddie Goldenberg Research Chairs of Canada program have now passed, and the following is provided for information only.
The University of British Columbia invited expressions of interest from top-tier, internationally based researchers as the first step in applying to join the thriving research community on our Vancouver and Okanagan campuses through the Government of Canada’s new Canada Impact+ Research Chairs program.
These chairs have maximum award values of either $1 million per year or $500,000 per year for eight years.
Chairs will be appointed as full-time full professors or associate professors who are expected to be promoted to full professor within two years of starting their chairholder appointment.
