Funding Figures and Reports

Several sources of research funding are available to UBC's Okanagan campus faculty. Since the campus’ establishment in 2005 both the number of awards and amount of funding continues to increase. The trend of increasing research funding and awards further illustrates the maturation of UBC’s Okanagan campus following seven years of growth. As additional funding sources are identified and researchers continue to increase their research capacity, it is expected that the trend will continue.

As a public university, UBC receives considerable support from the Government of Canada and the Government of British Columbia. Much of this funding is awarded through competitive, peer-reviewed grant competitions.
